Tastemakers Magazine is Northeastern University’s student-led music magainze. Each semester, we work to create two 40+ page magazines that are printed and distributed across campus and online.

I worked as a designer with the magazine until January 2023, when I joined E-board as the collateral designer. In September of 2023, I was promoted to design coordinator, and in January of 2024 I will assume the role of art director.



TASTEMAKERS PRESENTS ASSETS

Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
Every semester Tastemakers invites an artist to perform on campus for a concert called Tastemakers Presents. I was given the opportunity to design the assets for the Fall 2023 show and the Fall 2022 show.  This included an 11x17 poster and an Instagram post.

SOCIAL MEDIA ASSETS

Adobe Illustrator
As collateral designer for the magazine, I was tasked with creating Instagram posts for the social media team regarding applications, events, and any thing else they might need. When I started in this position, the magazine did not have a clear brand identity established across their social media platforms, so I worked to create graphics that used a grid system, making them easier to update for future designers. I also used consistent colors, typography, and developed an illustration style that created a cohesive Tastemakers brand across all of our posts.
