A QUILTER’S HANDBOOK

The Quilter’s Handbook is a redesign of the book A Beginner’s Guide to Quilting by Barbara Weiland Talbert, inspired by the geometric and crafty nature of handmade quilts. The front and back covers are designed to create quilt blocks with different letters from the book’s title. Additionally, throughout the book, the consistent use of the sticker-shaped title bars and boxes placed randomly on the pages give the book a collage effect that would resonate well with readers who enjoy crafts such as quilting. I kept the design monochromatic because I wanted it to be bold and fun, without it becoming too distracting from the content which might make it too hard to use as a guide.
